Objective Reality May Not Exist, Scientists Say
This reminded me of a post I saw on TikTok which brought up that if our shadow is 2d representation of our 3d selves, then what if our daily existence going through time (4d) is a shadow of a 5d... thing? I could see this being broadened to be "objective reality."

Why Florida Didn't Participate in the American Revolution
Despite growing up in Florida, I had never learned why Florida wasn't one of the original 13 colonies. I assumed it was because, at the time, Florida was still primarily a Spanish colony (deduced from my childhood visits to St. Augustine, the oldest city in America.)
The blog entry is fairly top level, but definitely interesting for brief insights. Would love to read more.
There was an experimental keyboard for Android called 8pen. I can't help if it was ahead of its time, as I feel like it could form a useable keyboard for Wear OS.
It was definitely a weird keyboard concept, but it was an interesting cursive-like experience. As of now, there is no way for me to type on my watch (which makes perfect sense), but I do wonder if this could be a concept that gets rebooted.
Amazon's Lord of the Rings show will be the most expensive season of TV ever produced, and it isn't close
That the total price tag for the first season of the show is estimated to come in at $450 million. (By comparison, a season of “Game of Thrones” was estimated to cost $90 million, or about $15 million an episode.) According to New Zealand publication Stuff, the amount was ascertained by the NZ$160 million tax credit the production will receive for filming in the country. To receive a tax credit of that amount, the budget is estimated to come in at just shy of half a billion American dollars.
