Maker Faire returns to San Francisco
I've always wanted to go to one of these. Glad it's back in the Bay Area.
I've been on a deep dive into craftsman and maker channels on YouTube. I came across this wonderful video of an 80 year old man working in his forge and making a knife from start to finish.
Cricut's Unfair Lockdown
Cricut machines apparently just forced people who owned the machines into a subscription model. It's like right to repair but worse. I was looking at the machines this weekend, Katie and I went to Michaels to get some stuff for another project. It's essentially a crafter's cnc mill machine for small things, but hearing about the new subscription model makes me far far far less interested in the machine.
Neopixel Skirt? I want it as a shirt!
This is super cool and something I might definitely one day possibly attempt to make for myself as a shirt.
